Looks like he’ll get at least one more day of freedom before beginning his jail sentence, as the New York courthouse where Lil Wayne was set to appear on Tuesday (March 2) has closed for the rest of the day due to a fire in the basement.
According to the Associated Press, court spokesman David Bookstaver said the fire was apparently started in a wooden contractor’s shed, causing the evacuation around 10:30 a.m. after the building filled with smoke.
